The Other Woman Movie Review

The Other Woman is a romantic comedy film directed by Nick Cassavetes who is also known for the movie entitled, The Notebook.  The Other Woman movie stars, among others, Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton.  It is all about a woman who later on learned that her boyfriend was married and while moving on from such a ruined relationship came across her ex's wife who became her best friend.  It is from here where the story is centered.

For being such a funny movie all the way, I give this movie the highest rate of five stars.  Although it is an unconventional kind of story, what makes it humorous is how the women characters met and became friends despite the circumstance of their meeting.  All this happens because of the boyfriend of Carly, played by Cameron Diaz, who she eventually learned to be a married man.

Carly wants to move on and erase everything that concerns about that man who is played by Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, nevertheless, the appearance of his wife, Kate, who is portrayed by Leslie Mann, in her office kept her from doing so.  She decided to talk to her then help her until they reached an agreement to trail him when both discovered that he is with another woman named Amber who is younger than the two of them.  Like what transpired between Carly and Kate, Amber, portrayed by Kate Upton, became friends with them.  All three women arranged to make revenge toward the same man who cheated on them.

While watching the movie, it occurred to me what might be the outcome of the women's status.  I was correct on how Carly and Amber ended up except that of Kate.  Notwitstanding an uncomplicated prediction of its end, the movie continues to make me chuckle.

What bothered me though was its title.  As we continue watching the movie, I realized that it is an incorrect title.  As the story progresses, it centers on the character of Kate the wife.  Assuming the title is correct, in my opinion it should not have focused on one "other woman" for there are two of them in the movie.

All in all, in my point of view, it was worth watching the movie, "The Othe9r Woman."  If you want to relax and laugh, I recommend that you watch this movie.
